Biotech Workshops

Powered by the GENIUS Program at Metro Prep Academy.

This is not your typical science class.

Metro Prep’s GENIUS Program offers a unique series of Saturday Intensive workshops designed for motivated high school students seeking real laboratory experience in cutting edge biotechnology.

In these workshops, participants work with professional grade equipment and established laboratory methods, gaining hands on practice and conceptual mastery in areas ranging from molecular genetics and genome editing to diagnostic testing and sustainable biotechnology.

Each intensive focuses on a complete scientific workflow and culminates in measurable outcomes that reflect how research and biotech professionals operate in modern research, clinical, and industrial laboratories.

No prior experience needed—just curiosity and a passion for discovery!

Workshops Offered

From understanding genetic variation and editing genomes to mastering diagnostic techniques and engineering DNA, our Saturday Intensive Workshops provide a premier laboratory learning experience for students ready to lead in biotechnology.
Go behind the scenes of forensic science. Use professional biotech tools to isolate, amplify, and decode your own DNA.
