- Who Can Apply? Open to all students entering Grades 7 to 12 at Ontario middle and high schools*.*Priority is given to current Metro Prep students and those accepted for Fall 2026 enrollment.

These workshops are designed for high school students in grades 8–12 who are interested in biotechnology, forensic science, and genetic research. No prior lab experience is required.
All lab materials and equipment are provided. Participants should bring a notebook, water bottle, and packed lunch, and wear closed-toe shoes for lab safety.
Our GENIUS 1-Day Workshops are Saturday intensive workshops designed for ages 12 to 16, focusing on hands-on biotechnology topics. Sessions are held on one or more Saturdays as follows:
