Metro Prep’s GENIUS Program offers a unique series of Saturday Intensive workshops designed for motivated high school students seeking real laboratory experience in cutting edge biotechnology.
In these workshops, participants work with professional grade equipment and established laboratory methods, gaining hands on practice and conceptual mastery in areas ranging from molecular genetics and genome editing to diagnostic testing and sustainable biotechnology.
Each intensive focuses on a complete scientific workflow and culminates in measurable outcomes that reflect how research and biotech professionals operate in modern research, clinical, and industrial laboratories.

These workshops are designed for high school students in grades 8–12 who are interested in biotechnology, forensic science, and genetic research. No prior lab experience is required.
All lab materials and equipment are provided. Participants should bring a notebook, water bottle, and packed lunch, and wear closed-toe shoes for lab safety.
